Cat sitting in

Get in touch

Welcome to Happy Hounds and Cooler Cats cat sitting in Leytonstone and the surrounding areas. We have been in operation since 1999 and our experienced team of pet carer would love to come and visit your cat(s) or other small pets while you are away. In addition to providing catsitting in Leytonstone, we also cover Wanstead, Leyton, Snaresbrook, Forest gate, Walthamstow, Woodford, Woodford Green and Chingford.

Cat sitting in Leytonstone

Our cat sitting in Leytonstone service means that instead of taking your cats or other small animals to a cattery or kennels we can come and visit them in their own home. Cat’s in particular are very territorial and can find it highly disrupting to be removed from their own surroundings, so cat sitting means they will be much happier and relaxed while you are away.

When we meet you we will discuss your animals feeding regime and try and keep to their usual routine as much as possible. In addition our experienced pet carers can provide basic medication as required and will of course spend some time petting and playing with your pet should they be willing.

We can visit either once or twice a day depending on your cat’s requirements. Generally one visit a day is fine unless your pet needs medication or a little extra attention

Added benefits

In addition to ensuring your cat is well looked after, we can also keep a check on your home while your away as well. This can include basic plant watering, bringing in the post and in the winter turning on the heating to make sure pipes don’t freeze. We can also turn lights on and off and open and close curtains to make your house look lived in, giving you piece of mind. We will also make sure there is fresh milk waiting for you when you return home.

What about my other pets?

In our experience our pet sitting service is not really suitable for dogs as they really miss the company of people. So if you need your dog to be cared for we recommend our dog boarding service where your dog will stay with one of our boarders in a home from home environment. Alternatively if you have several animals you may want to consider our house sitting service where one of our pet carers will stay at your home while you are away giving you total piece of mind.

Permissions

General

To act for you in your absence if we are unable to contact you

Vehicles

Animals are fully insured to travel in any vehicle driven by your pet carer. Unless you state otherwise, these terms and conditions assume that you, the client, have given permission for this.

Cats

We do recognise that cats are independent creatures and as such often are left to come in and out freely. Unfortunately accidents do happen and as such we cannot be held responsible for the safety of any cat that is allowed to come in and out.

If cats need to be brought in, i.e. do not have a cat flap but are let out anyway, we will do our very best to call and ensure we’ve seen them, and will wait a reasonable amount of time, carry out duties and if the cat hasn’t turned up we will have to leave.  We will endeavour to ensure the cat is in but we cannot guarantee it.

Insurance

It is a condition precedent to liability that the property owner has arranged with their household insurer to extend their policy to cover losses incurred whilst there is a pet sitter present.

It is a condition precedent to liability that all locks, security and protective measures are put in operation whenever the property is left unattended or overnight, whether or not the pet sitter is present.

Spare Keys

Clients must provide a spare set of keys to the sitter. These may be left at the property for the sitter to pick up on the first visit. This second set of keys will then be left at the client’s home on the last visit. If this is not possible, then the details of a local key-holder who will be available during the period of care must be provided. If neither of these is possible, then a second set of keys will be cut by your sitter at a charge of £10 plus the cost of cutting.

Payment

Payment is initially in advance on booking. You can use the following methods: bank transfer, debit or credit card. However, regular clients may prefer to set up a direct debit with us and pay in arrears.

Cancellation Charges

Cancellation within 24 hours of the service / no notice 100% of total cost.

Key Retention

After initial meeting you may chose for the company or your sitter to retain the keys for future visits. All keys are marked with only the name of the animal and a code and no address details. Should you wish to have the keys returned after the first assignment this will be free of charge. However, should you wish the key to be picked up or dropped off for any subsequent sitting assignment, then a fee of £7.50 will be charged.

Clients often find it useful for us to hold a spare set of keys in case they get locked out!

Key return by special arrangement £7.50
Emergency key provision £10
(Free if we’re in the area)

Other

Parking
Permits must be provided to your sitter, if you are in a restricted parking zone. If you cannot provide permits, we are happy to take a risk however if we do incur a parking fine then this will be passed on to you.

Booking Happy Hounds & Cooler Cats Ltd services constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions. We do everything we can to provide a professional, caring service. If you have any feedback that would help us improve our service, please let us know. Please note that these terms and conditions may change at any point.

Cat sitting in Mile End

Cat sitting in

Get in touch

Cat sitting in Mile End

Established in 1999 Happy Hounds & Cooler Cats offer friendly and reliable cat sitting in Mile End and the surrounding area including Bow, Bethnal Green, Limehouse and Stepney.

Instead of taking your cat to a cattery let one of our pet carers come and visit them in their own home. Cat’s are notoriously territorial and hate to be away from familiar surroundings so cat sitting means they will be much happier and contented while you are away.

Our professional and friendly pet carers will discuss with you your cats feeding regime and will endeavour to keep to their usual routine as much as possible. All our pet carers are fully trained by us and are able to give basic medication if required and will of course spend some time playing with your cat and giving lots of strokes should they be willing.

We recommend either 1 visit or 2 visits per day, generally 1 visit is fine unless your cat needs medication or just a little extra attention.

Peace of mind while your away.

An added benefit of using our cat sitting service is that we can keep an eye on your home while your away. We are happy to bring in the post, do basic plant watering and in winter we can turn the heating on and off to make sure your pipes don’t freeze. In addition we can open and close curtains and turn lights on and off, making your house looked lived in, giving you piece of mind while your away. Finally we will always make sure there is a fresh pint of milk waiting for you for that all important cup of tea or coffee.

We can look after other pets too.

In addition to cats we are happy to visit other small animals as well. In the past we have visited rabbits, hamsters, rats, snakes, reptiles, chickens and even the occasional goat.

However in our experience pet sitting is not really suitable for dogs as they miss the company of people too much. If you need your dog to be looked after you could consider our dog boarding service, where your dog will stay with one of our boarders in a home from home environment. However if you have cats, dogs and other animals then our house sitting service may be more appropriate, where someone will live at your home and care for all your animals giving you total piece of mind while your away.
