You’ll get all the training, support and backup from a friendly and experienced team.

Want to join the team?  Become a dog walker? Daycare provider? We are always looking for responsible people to work with us in and around the London and Essex.  You will need to be dotty about animals, have experience in dealing with them, and have good references.  We will show you all the ropes, provide training and back up and insure you to carry out the work.

Trustworthiness, bags of common sense, ability to follow client’s instructions to the letter, and experience with animals are the key criteria.  It may only be ad hoc, part time or sometimes full time depending on what you want to take on. If you do fulfil the criteria and are interested, please get in touch.

We’re currently looking to fulfil the following roles.

Doggy day care provider

Love dogs? Hate commuting? We are always looking for people to join our great team of home from home doggy day care providers.

What do you need? Some experience of dogs – having been a dog owner is great experience – and willingness to learn.  A home safe for dogs – must be a house or ground floor flat – and your own private garden.  Available Mon-Fri usually between 10am and 4pm.

What does this give you?

Well, why not hear from a couple of our daycare providers

I love having a doggy daycare because of all the different types of dogs I get to meet. They are all so different as soon as they come in through the gate they are so super happy to play with their friends: it’s great to see all the dogs socialize together. It’s so lovely when new dogs come along. Some of them can be quite nervous at first but it’s very rewarding seeing them come out of their shell and develop. But seeing them develop, teaching them new skills is just a brilliant way to spend time and make a living. Nicky, Daycare Provider and dog boarder

The most enjoyable thing about running a dog daycare is looking after other peoples fantastic dogs and watching them run around in a play group environment filled with games and activities.
I enjoy providing a routine of training and interaction. I like to see how they become enriched by a positive social experience and I get to see the puppies develop before my eyes.  I love observing the dogs social cues  and seeing the dogs communicate – it has really has broadened my understanding of dog language too.
It’s great seeing them exercising their minds as well as physically. I relish hearing from the owners how their pooches have returned home nice and tired knowing they have had a great time with their friends. For some owners it’s like we’re providing a pre-school environment. They are  out of the owner’s hair and happily occupied getting lots of socialisation. Plus my dog gets to make lots of friends so it’s a win-win! Kelly, daycare provider and dog boarder

As well as this, you get to work from home and have a lovely team of people to work with and lots of support.

Happy Hounds & Cooler Cats can help you with the licence you’ll need from the local authority and provide all the advice, training & support you need and hold your hand through each step of the process.

You may have a dog yourself and this would be a great way for them to socialise with other dogs, or this may be the perfect way for you to enjoy the company of dogs during the day without the full time commitment of owning one.

If this sparks your curiosity, then do get in touch and we can have a nice chat and you can see if it’s something you might enjoy.
