The benefits of cat sitting rather than a cattery
The benefits of using a cat sitting service over a cattery are many, for both owners and cats:
- Cats are territorial and prefer staying in their own home. You’ll find your cat eats normally and doesn’t get stressed as it might do if staying away from home.
- You don’t have to worry about getting the cats to the cattery – and more to the point, into their travel boxes: never a fun experience for owner or cat!
- You don’t have to drive to the cattery to pick them up after your holiday or trip: your cats will be waiting to greet you.
- If there’s any ill health with your cats, we’ll be able to take them to their own vet – a real benefit if your cat has a medical condition or is elderly.
- You get to meet who will be looking after your cat – and your home – in advance: this really is a personal service, so you can be sure you’ve gone through all details we’ll need. We take lots of information so we know exactly what your cat needs and will visit to meet you (free of charge, of course!) so you’re happy with the person who’ll be providing the service. We’re certain you will be.
Bonnie and Jo are the main carers for the area: Jo’s worked with us for over 5 years, and Bonnie for 2 – she was previously a veterinary nurse. They’re both extremely experienced and their passion is animals and will ensure your cats (and any other pets you may have) will get the very best care.
Cat sitting prices
Prices are very reasonable – £12 per day for up to 2 cats – for further details please see our prices page which we think represents really good value for money. We ask owners to provide the food and litter as each animal we care for has different requirements. We’ll make sure your cats have the attention and care they need (some cats are very shy – but usually we can coax them out for a stroke at the very least!) but others will love the cuddles, strokes, tlc and basic grooming we can provide.
We can also care for your garden and plants while you’re away ensuring you don’t come back to a dried up garden!
In terms of security, having someone keep an eye on the property is always a good idea: we can ensure the house looks lived in: opening and closing curtains, alternating lights, making sure post is taken in and doesn’t look obvious and that there isn’t junk mail sticking out of the letterbox. All these things help to keep your home secure.
